Janna, LVT, Head Technician

Janna has been with the Cumberland Animal Clinic since 1993. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and our Head Technician. Janna is a graduate of South Portland High School.  She then chose to continue her education at the University of Maine Orono where she graduated with a degree in Animal Science. She resides in Cumberland with her daughter Haley. She has a love of animals and shares her home with her cats Errol, Widgy and Neo. Then there is not much sharing with her dogs as they love to take over (and can as they are almost bigger than her) Mater (Bull Mastiff)  are her big babies and love to play.  However she also has Stanley (French Bulldog) to add to the chaos.



Holly, LVT

Holly came to us with eight plus years of experience in the veterinary industry. Holly started with the Cumberland Animal Clinic in 2005. She earned a degree in Equine Science from Cazenovia College in New York and has a degree in Veterinary Technology from Cedar Valley College. Holly graduated from Yarmouth High School. Holly became a licensed veterinary technician in July of 2011.  She resides in Yarmouth with her fiance, Chris and her daughter Elsa. Holly is a true animal lover and has a cat Franklin and three dogs Cypress (Chihuahua/Mix), Vidalia (Terrier/Mix) and Wyatt (Collie/Mix). 


Grace, LVT

Grace joined the Cumberland Animal Clinic team in 2012.  She is a graduate from SUNY Delhi's Veterinary Technician program and has been licensed since 2006.  She spent several years working in veterinary emergency medicine before joining the team here at Cumberland Animal Clinic.  Grace currently lives in Baldwin with her husband Alex, cat Lilly and her goats Facetious and Clotilde.  Grace and Alex also share their home with a German Shepard named Tetris.  They also enjoy going to the movies, dinner and travelling.  They hope to turn their new home into a small farm growing their own veggies and learning to make soap and cheese from goats milk. Grace and Alex are enjoying being new parents to their first baby girl, Madeleine.


Nicole, Veterinary Assistant

Nicole is a graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School, and National College in Lexington, Kentucky.  Nicole came to join the Cumberland Animal Clinic in 2012.  She is currently working on her Veterinary Technology degree through Penn Foster College.  Nicole enjoys snow shoeing, hiking, photography and spending time on the lake at home.  Most of all Nicole enjoys spending time with her cats, Mohawk and Bourbon, and her cocker spaniel Tripper. Also recently got married this past fall. 





Emily, LVT

Emily came to Cumberland Animal Clinic in 2014 after working at local veterinary clinics.  Emily is a licensed veterinary technician that obtained a bachelors degree in zoology from the University of New Hampshire in 1998 and an associate?s degree in animal health technology from Pierce College in 2006.  Emily has worked with zoo animals as well as small animals.  She currently resides in Westbrook with her husband Michael and their son Owen.  Emily also shares her home to Mittsu the three legged cat and Buddy the Shepard Mix doggie!



Michael, Customer Service Representative

Michael joined the Cumberland Animal Clinic staff in March of 2015, bringing 20+ years of Retail/Customer Service Management experience to his new position. Michael is also a local theater Director/Actor working throughout the Greater Portland area and is a proud member of The Portland Players Hall of Fame for his body of work and contributions over the past 14 seasons. Michael lives in Westbrook and is the proud Papa to two lovey Bichons: Melly (9) and Henry (7). Michael enjoys theater, music, and is an avid supporter of the arts in every form. 


Melissa, Veterinary Assistant

Melissa joined us in March of 2015 with 15 years of experience in the veterinary field. She worked in North Carolina for numerous years, adopted and fostered various special need pets. She graduated from Windham High School and is an alumni of the Windham Chamber Singers. She has a love for the arts and outdoors as well as animals of all kinds. She has a special place in her heart for the exotic pets such as birds, reptiles, and fish. Melissa currently lives with her husband Toby. They live with a handicapped dog named Lucy, a blind cat named Mudd, a 19 year old cat Baxter, a bottle fed cat Chloe, a Russian tortoise named Dimitry, and an African Grey parrot named Kulu.
